Crockpot Cheesy Chicken & Stuffing

This recipe is a cheesier version of the classic crockpot chicken & stuffing, also commonly known as Crockpot Thanksgiving Dinner. I used a new Hawaiian stuffing mix and some shredded Swiss & Gruyere cheese I found at ALDI in this version and it was a really tasty twist on an old favorite!

Servings: 6

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Step 1
Spray your crock pot with non stick spray then add the chopped onions to the bottom on the crockpot then add chicken breast, season with your chosen seasonings and top each piece of chicken with cheese.
  2. Step 2

Mix your dry stuffing mix with the melted butter and place it over top the cheese in the crockpot (sometimes I will go ahead and mix in the soup here, too)

  3. Step 3

Add the can of tomatoes over the stuffing (I didn't drain the can when I made it in this video but I will next time)

Then add the cream of mushroom soup and spread it out as best you can (if you didn't already mix it in the stuffing step)

Finally pour the chicken broth over the top

  4. Step 4

Put the lid on your crockpot and cook on low 8-10 hours or o high for 6 hours

Note

I served it with mashed potatoes and a salad, but if you like rice this is a perfect dish to serve over rice. I found the original recipe at Great Grub Delicious Treats
