Slow Cooker Steak Diane

This slow cooker steak Diane is a recipe I found from Sarah at the Magical Slow Cooker, she said it was published over 10 years ago! Let me tell you, this recipe is still amazing, and I've only made a few little changes to suit my family's tastes. Steak Diane is something we usually order at fancy restaurants and it's normally made with filet mignon. But with the handy dandy slow cooker, we can use beef stew meat, or many other less expensive cuts, and let it cook low and slow and get just as tender steak Diane for a fraction of the cost.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Add the beef stew meat to the slow cooker and sprinkle over the gravy mix and seasonings. Add the Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, shallots, garlic, and mushrooms. Pour over the water and stir together, try to get the tomato paste and Dijon mustard to blend into the gravy.

  2. Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours.
  3. When the cooking time is up, stir in the sour cream and serve!
