Slow Cooker Pizza Casserole

All the flavor of pizza you love in a convenient pasta crockpot meal, and it's so easy to customize with all your family's favorite toppings it's sure to please everyone!

  1. Step 1
    Cook penne pasta to a minute under al dente per directions on the package. Drain and set aside.
  2. Step 2
    While the pasta is cooking, add ground beef, onion, and garlic to a large skillet over medium-high heat (if adding peppers or other veggies you can cook them here, too). Cook until hamburger is browned and onions are soft. Drain off excess grease and set aside.
  3. Step 3
    In a 6-quart slow cooker, add marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
     
    Add pasta, ground beef mixture, spinach, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni to the slow cooker. Mix until well combined.
     
    Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours. When the pizza casserole is done cooking. Top with the remaining cheese and continue to cook until melted.
     
    Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!

It seemed like this recipe from Slow Cooker Meals just kept popping up every time I opened my computer and it looked so delicious I knew I had to try it. We all cleaned our plates and I love that it can be customized, it's like a new dish every time I make it!
