Olive Garden Cheese Tortellini Alfredo with Chicken (Copycat Version)

Make your restaurant favorite right at home while feeding the entire family for a fraction of the cost and less time than it takes to drive to town and wait for a table. And did I mention that this one is made with fluffy cheese filled tortellini nestled in a velvety homemade alfredo sauce and topped with juicy seasoned chicken breast, gooey cheese, and a little touch of a crunchy topping. What are you waiting for? Don't be intimidated by the name this one is so easy you're gonna find yourself making it over and over!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Step 1

If your chicken breasts are not thin sliced, cover them with cling wrap and pound them to about 1/2-inch thickness with a meat mallet or rolling pin.
Then place chicken, oil, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning in a zipper bag and marinate in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

  2. Step 2

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add enough oil to coat the bottom then sauté chicken on both sides until done, about 7 to 9 minutes per side and they are and browned up. Then remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board.

  3. Step 3

Wipe out your pan then combine heavy cream, half and half, and butter over medium-high heat.
Heat until small bubbles form but don't bring to a boil.
Add Parmesan cheese, and garlic powder; whisk until the sauce thickens.

  4. Step 4

Cook tortellini according to package directions and add into your skillet if it's oven safe and gently toss to coat it with the sauce. If your skillet is not oven safe, add the tortellini to a 2 quart baking dish and pour Alfredo sauce over it to coat.

Slice your chicken breasts and place on top of the tortellini and sprinkle with Panko breadcrumbs and Mozzarella cheese. Broil in the oven for 2 to 3 minutes or until the cheese just begins to brown.
