Hearty Crockpot Beef & Pasta Bake

Hearty Crockpot Beef & Pasta Bake

My family loves this crockpot beef and cheese pasta that is cooked long and slow to bring out the best cheesy meat sauce! It has a much heartier, beefy taste than most tomato sauces and you get to sneak in a little green veggies into this one, too! And just wanted to note that in the video I halved this recipe for our family of four.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Step 1

Brown the beef along with the onions and garlic in a skillet until cooked and drained any excess grease.

Transfer onions, garlic and beef to a 6 quart crockpot and pour in marinara sauce, tomatoes, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, Worcestershire sauce, crumbled beef bouillon cubes and sugar.

Stir to mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cook for 6-8 hours on low.

  2. Step 2

Cook the pasta till al dente according to package instructions. Drain well and add cooked pasta, Parmesan and mozzarella cheese to the meat sauce and stir to combine.

Cook on high for 30 minutes.

Mix in cooked or raw spinach leaves and stir well (if using fresh spinach allow if a few minutes to wilt down some)

Dish it up and serve it nice and hot along with some crusty garlic bread, salad, or any veggie of your choice!

Note

I've made this dish from The Cooking Jar many, many times for my family over the years and they always gobble it up like it's the first time they've ever eaten it! Hope your family loves it this much, too.
