Garlic Cheddar Bay Sausage Balls

Garlic Cheddar Bay Sausage Balls

A delicious and easy way to take an old favorite up a notch with only 4 ingredients! These are perfect to make ahead and keep in the freezer to pop in the oven at a minute's notice.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Combine all ingredients (including the seasoning packet) together in a large bowl. If you have a stand mixer or even a good hand mixer with the dough hooks attachments, that works well to mix this together but I've always just liked doing it by hand.

  2. Step 2

Pinch small amounts off and roll into about 1 inch balls. You can use a cookie scoop to make them the same size if you like to be precise. Place the balls on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes. I got 4 dozen balls out of this recipe, but it will depend on the size you rolls yours to.

Note

I like to make these in advance of the holidays and freeze them to have on hand. I just put the tray of uncooked sausage balls into the freezer to flash freeze for a bit; them I store them in a freezer bag. Then when I'm ready to bake them, just put them on a lined baking sheet straight from the freezer and increase the cook time by 4 minutes or so. I've heard a lot of folks bragging about how good these were so I had to give them a try, the recipe I used is from Plain Chicken, and I think it's perfect, but I did use just a little more cheese than the original recipe called for!
