Ingredients
Bugle Elf Hats, Bells and Gnomes
Pretzel Rudolph and Reindeer Droppings
Instructions
-
These are all pretty much the same process - melt, dip, and decorate!
When melting the wafers, almond bark, or baking chips it's important to use a microwave safe bowl and heat them up at 30-second intervals until the candy is completely melted, stirring often. I always add a little Crisco (solid shortening) to mine, it seems to make it easier to work with and really shiny.
For the Gnomes -
Dip the bottom (open wider side) of each Bugle into the melted white chocolate and place a small round green or red candy into the candy right below the line where the candy starts. Stand them up on parchment paper and let cool and harden.
For the Elf Hats -
Dip the Bugles the same way as you did for the Gnomes, skip the nose, and over a plate sprinkle the coated end with festive candy sprinkles. Stand them up on parchment paper and let cool and harden.
For the Bells -
Follow the same procedure for the Elf Hats and add a M & M candy to the bottom, pressing the candy slightly up inside the Bugle. Lay them on parchment paper and let cool and harden.
Pretzel Rudolps -
You can pour melted chocolate into a glass, this makes dunking easier. Place 3 mini-pretzel sticks side by side and dunk into the melted chocolate half way down the pretzel rods. Allow extra to drip off into the glass or bowl. Lay them on some parchment paper, place candy eyes, then use a red M&M for the nose. Let sit on parchment until hardened.
Reindeer Droppings -
Drop a peanut butter pretzel into the chocolate and flip it with a fork covering the entire pretzel. Let the excess drip off, lay them on parchment paper and shake on festive Christmas sprinkles. Let sit on parchment until hardened.
