Crockpot Stuffed Shells

Crockpot Stuffed Shells

I love stuffed shells but I have the hardest time making them! It's stuffing the shells that trips me up, I end up tearing the shells almost every time LOL! But with this crockpot version you don't have to cook the shells before stuffing, they will cook right up in the crockpot! And best of all it tastes great!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Step 1

Spray a 6 quart crockpot with nonstick spray and pour 1/3 jar of the sauce in the bottom.

  2. Step 2

To make the cheese filling combine ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, parmesan, egg, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and parsley in a small bowl and mix well. Transfer the cheese mixture to a gallon size ziplock bag and clip the corner of the bag to use it as a piping bag to fill the uncooked shells.

Then put a layer of the cheese filled shells to the crockpot (about 12 of them), add a layer of about 1/2 of the cooked ground beef, 1/3 of the sauce. The add the rest of the stuffed shells, the rest of the meat, and the rest of the sauce.

Add water around the edges of the crockpot and sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top.

Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for 3-4 hours.

  3. Step 3

Once it's done add the other cup of mozzarella cheese, sprinkle with parsley or more Italian seasoning and put the lid back on to melt!

    Serve and enjoy!

Note
