Crockpot Salisbury Steak

Crockpot Salisbury Steak

This is BY FAR my husband's favorite crockpot meal, and I can't help but agree. It takes the ultimate classic comfort food and simmers it all day in a rich gravy in the crockpot, it's perfect with mashed potatoes and it comes out perfect every single time!

Ingredients

Beef Patty Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Step 1
Spray crockpot with nonstick cooking spray and place mushrooms & onions in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Step 2
Combine beef patty ingredients and form 6 patties. Brown over medium high heat (about 3 minutes per side).
Layer beef patties over mushrooms. Combine remaining ingredients except water and cornstarch. Pour over beef and cook on low 5 hours.
  3. Step 3
Once cooked, remove patties and set aside.
Turn slow cooker onto high. Combine cold water and cornstarch. Stir into the broth and let cook a few minutes until thickened. Add beef back into the sauce to coat.
This is perfect served over mashed potatoes or rice.

Note

My family has loved this recipe from Spend With Pennies since the very first time I've ever made it and they have instructed me to never change one thing. Many times I've prepped this recipe the night before by mixing up the gravy portion and storing it in a airtight container in the fridge overnight, mixing up and browning the patties and storing them overnight in the fridge, too. Then the next morning, just dump and go!
