Crockpot Salisbury Steak Meatballs
The classic comfort meal made easy with frozen homestyle meatballs smothered in rich gravy all in the crockpot. Patrick loves my Salisbury steak and when I tired this take on it for the first time we were skeptical to say the least BUT we were all blown away by how absolutely delicious this dish tastes - it's every bit as good as what I make from scratch!
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Step 1
Place the sliced mushrooms and onions in the bottom of a 6-quart crock pot sprayed with nonstick spray. Then pour frozen meatballs over the top, no need to thaw them. -
Step 2
Add beef broth, gravy mix, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, black pepper, and garlic in a medium bowl. Whisk until well combined and pour over meatballs.Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 5-6 hours.(If your gravy isn't thick enough for your liking, whisk cornstarch and water together in a small bowl and pour over the meatballs and mix until well combined. Cook for ten minutes or until the gravy thickens.)Serve over rice or mashed potatoes, and enjoy!
Note
I've seen this recipe popping up all over the internet but any time I want to try something new in the crockpot I look to see if Ryan at Slow Cooker Meals has made it before. I've tried a lot of his crockpot recipes and they are simple & easy, no nonsense, and always taste delicious and turn out beautifully!
