Churro Rice Krispie Treats

Just when I thought I had seen every variation of Rice Krispie treats out there, up pops this one on my Pinterest feed. This cinnamon churro version is out of the world delish and a perfect twist on a classic treat for fall!

    Combine the sugar and cinnamon and set aside.

  2. Step 2

    Spray a 9x13 pan (or an 8×8 pan for extra thick treats) with non-stick spray and line it with a foil or parchment paper. Spray again and sprinkle the pan generously with about 2 tablespoons of cinnamon sugar.

    In a very large microwave-safe bowl, or in a saucepan on the stove over medium heat, melt your butter, salt, and 8 cups of mini marshmallows. Microwave in 30-second increments, or heat, stirring in between, until everything is completely melted and smooth. Then add in vanilla and stir again. Now stir 1/3 cup of cinnamon sugar into the marshmallow mixture and make sure all the ingredients are well combined.

    Pour in the Rice Krispies cereal and mix well, then add in the remaining marshmallows while still warm and lightly press into your pan. Sprinkle the top with the remaining 2 tablespoons of cinnamon sugar.
