Brown Sugar Bacon Crackers
This is one of Patrick's very favorite treats, he is a bacon and a brown sugar man so combining these two ingredients on top of a buttery cracker just makes his day! Plus they are so quick and easy to make and I usually have all these ingredients on hand, too.
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°Line up crackers on a wire rack set into a lined baking sheet. (Leave a little space in between the crackers for the bacon, as it will hang over the edges of the crackers.) -
Step 2
Slice the bacon into thirds or fourths (depending on the length and shape of your crackers). Place a piece of cut bacon lengthwise on each cracker. If you are using a round Ritz you can wrap the bacon around the cracker. -
Step 3
Sprinkle a generous amount of brown sugar on top of the bacon-topped crackers (about 1 heaping teaspoon per cracker). Then lightly sprinkle with red pepper flakes, ranch seasoning, or black pepper.
-
Step 4
Bake 15-20 minutes or until brown sugar begins to melt and bacon becomes crisp. Allow crackers to cool on wire rack before eating. Sometimes when using a thick cut bacon I have to increase the temp to 375 degrees and increase the time by 5 minutes.
Note
When I saw this recipe from Tip Hero Recipes I knew I had to try it and it quickly became a family favorite!
